Mapping Irrigated Areas Based on Remotely Sensed Crop Phenology and Soil Moisture

چکیده
Artificial irrigation is critical for improving soil moisture conditions and ensuring crop growth. Its irrational deployment can lead to ecological environmental issues. Mapping understanding the changes in irrigated areas are vital effectively managing limited water. However, most researchers map with a single data resource, which makes it hard detect signals complex situations. The case study area this paper was China’s winter wheat region, an generated by analyzing effects of artificial on phenological characteristics time series. mapping process involved three steps: (1) generating basic employing ISODATA classification method Kolmogorov–Smirnov test from microwave remote sensing reanalysis data; (2) creating other maximum likelihood ratio zoning scheme parameters extracted NDVI series; (3) fusing these two maps at decision level obtain final higher spatial resolution 1 km. evaluated against existing highly compatible GMIA 5.0. overall accuracy (OA) 73.49%.

Mapping Root Zone Soil Moisture Using Remotely Sensed Optical Imagery
Field-based soil moisture measurements are cumbersome. Remote sensing techniques based on active or passive microwave data have limitations. This paper presents and validates a new method based on land surface energy balances using remotely sensed optical data ~including thermal infrared!, which allows field and landscape-scale mapping of soil moisture depth-averaged through the root zone of ex...

Cover: A convective thunderstorm arrives near the small town of Hombori (Mali) during the AMMA field campaign (August 2005). This region is located in the Sahel, a transition zone between the Sahara and the Sudanian Savannas and stretches across the African continent. In this region, the spatial distribution of soil moisture affects the regional climate system including the spatial distribution...
متن کاملRemotely Sensed Soil Moisture Effects on Carbon Sequestration Spatial Patterns
Carbon emission and fixation fluxes are key variables to guide climate change stakeholders on the use of remediation techniques. To develop Kyoto Protocol support tools, a sound application perspective is offered by expert systems based on earth observation (EO). This allows estimates of vegetation carbon fixation using a minimum of meteorological data. The core module of this type of expert sy...

In the last decade several mining areas and corresponding dumps are subject to reclamation process in Bulgaria. We focused our research on one of the most important in the copper production for 20 year period for our country – Medet deposit. This mining complex consists of an open cast mine, the overburden dumps and a processing plant. After ceasing its exploitation in 1994 a rehabilitation pro...
